Documented long-term entries include employment, business activity, retirement residence based on overseas stable income, and a Residency Visa for people of Tongan descent, former citizens or spouses of Tongan citizens. Ordinary employment or investment does not automatically create permanent residence; naturalisation generally requires five years of residence and remains subject to the King's absolute discretion.
These structured advantages reflect currently published routes with official sources and are not a promise of an individual outcome.
Entry mix currently covered: employer-sponsored, entrepreneur/self-employed, other long-term residence, family sponsorship.
Settlement can be tracked separately: 1 PR route(s) and 1 citizenship route(s); automatic acquisition and separate applications are distinguished.
Family sponsorship is shown as its own category for comparison with work, study and investment routes.
